We got this for our Russian blue for Christmas a few years ago when she was two. She always loves putting her paws beneath doors and furniture in search of her toys. She will even carry one of her mice to a doorway that I’m close to, drop her mouse after which wait for me to push it back to her. We have played this kind of volley ball ever because we rescued her at 6 months. Anyway, this toy looked like just what she would appreciate so we bought it for her. I wish we had pictures of her standing on it with all four paws within the holes. Too cute! I do maintain a nice supply of her mice in it so she can catch them when she desires, that is every day.

My Bengal kitten absolutely loves this toy. I’m not sure if he plays with it much when I’m not about, but if him and I are spending some high quality time together this toy is really a must for him. He loves me putting his favorite mice into it so he can fish them out. I know there are two sizes for this and I’d recommend the larger one with the four holes across. This toy really couldn’t be ‘too’ big. The material is of great quality and I’m not worried that it will not live up to the wear and tear. This ought to final a lifetime. Extremely recommended to anyone with an active cat.

I’ve 3 Manx cats and within seconds of seeing this box, they knew precisely what to do! One of my boys pulled a ball out of it immediately and had a truly good time with it. He was extremely excited! He’s the most interested with the 3, although all 3 play with it. I used the balls that came with it, but I also utilized some comparable sized balls that I already had.

We’ve gone through a couple of scratching posts. I wish I had found this one sooner! Both of our cats are pretty long/large and the other scratching posts weren’t nearly big enough for them. They’d tip over, shed everywhere, and weren’t high enough to let our cats really stretch and scratch. This one is so much better. It doesn’t shed nearly as much, and now the cats are able to stretch up on their tippy-toes and scratch. It’s been really great for them. It was a very good purchase for them and has improved their quality of life for sure. Highly recommend.

At first our cat wasn’t sure what it was. So we sprayed cat repellant on the couch and catnip spray on the post and within a day she got the message. Now she loves it and scratches just about every time she passes by. And the neat thing is that the post still looks like it’s brand new and the couch is saved.

Innova Evo is bar none the best dry cat food out there and believe me, I have tried them all. I’ve had cats all my life and I try to feed them a good diet, well, better than mine in a lot of aspects. Evo is strong natural ingredients and low in grain, which I believe has caused a lot of problems with obesity and diabetes in our pets. The improvement of my family is pretty dramatic. My three cats have more energy, better coats, less than vomit, stools and more solid than ever. The girls, who were more or less ‘furniture with fur’ request to play at least half an hour a day. So far, no loss of weight, but have to eat a smaller portion (about 2.5 ounces per day for the cat) and not ask for much more. One caveat: do not start this food abruptly. Evo is rich and need to be introduced gradually. So, start with 3 or 4 pieces your current cat food to a part Ages and gradually increase the amount of Ages, as your cat will tolerate it. If you go much faster, you could give your cat diarrhea or other stomach disorders.

This is great food; it has natural ingredients and is formulated to be as close as possible to a cat’s natural diet. I switched my kitten to this food with NO issues, not even the smelly stools others complain about and I’ll explain why. I am into body building and diet and I know that when you switch from bad food to good food, you actually need to eat less and adjust from there. The smelly stools occur when there is undigested (unused) protein in the stools. Thus you need to balance your cat’s food intake and exercise so that he’s getting enough food for his or her energy needs. Too little and your cat will definitely let you know, too much and the stools will let you know. I feed my cat Innova Wet and Dry food, leaving dry food out all day with one serving of wet food in the morning or at lunch time. Unless my cat has finished all his food early on in the day, I don’t feed him any more of either; no matter how much he meows (it took about a week or two to change his routine). Also, if he’s finished or nearly finished his food by the time I go to bed, I don’t refill his bowl till morning. I would strongly recommend consulting your vet and watching your cat closely while adjusting his feeding. Watch for energy levels, alertness, responsiveness and overall demeanor.

SmartScoop Self-Scooping Litter Box Review
I think this is a great box! I have 7 cats so this is just one of many pans, but its nice to have one always clean for the pickier of my cats. Instead of wasting clean litter like littermaid, this rake scoops the clumps & dumps them into the bin instead of pushing it all, including clean litter into the bin. I just leave one of the liners in the bin & dump the bin every day or 2 & we’re good to go again! Similar to the littermaid, you have to be sure not to over fill the litter as it jams the rake up, but there are lines in the pan that make it clear where the litter level should be. One thing I thought might be a problem, the rake does not go all the way to the back of the pan, I thought my cats would pee thru the rake & the rake would be “stuck” in a litter clump. This has happened, but it doesn’t lock up the rake. When I see it, I just flip the rake up & scoop that particular clump. None of the automatic litter pans are totally maintenance free but again, its nice to have one pan thats generally clean all day long with out me scooping it 2-4 times a day!

I purchased the Smartscoop to replace my Littermaid. Out of the box, the smartscoop would not detect when my cat entered the litterbox. I called the company (Our Pets) and they sent me a new motor unit. I received it within a week. The customer service department was very nice and apologetic for my inconvenience. The new unit did detect my cat. As far as how well the Smartscoop works, well it does not scoop up nearly as much of the waste as the Littermaid. I did try bending the tines as suggested in a previous review. That definitely helped.

The reason I did not purchase another Littermaid was my cat would sometimes urinate over the back of the unit and this caused the unit to short out after about a year. Also, the Littermaid was difficult to disassemble and clean. I don’t have either of these problems with the Smartscoop, because all of the electrical components are outside the box and the Smartscoop disassembles in just a few minutes — everything but the motor unit can be submerged in water for thorough cleaning.
If the people at Our Pets would address the tines of the rake being too far apart, I would rate this product at 5 stars.
